About The Artist
With over a decade of experience, Hammerstrom has participated in the Individual World Poetry Slam, National Poetry Slam, Southwest Shootout, Grand Junction Pride’s Slamming Bricks, Bigfoot Poetry Festival as well as other poetry competitions, festivals, and venues across the US. Her work has been showcased in Novus Literary Magazine, Palette Poetry, Write About Now, How We Are, and other publications.
She is a reader for Kitchen Table Quarterly, a Haiku Deathbattle Champion, ran the Flagstaff Poetry Slam from 2016 to 2019, and hosts poetry workshops for all ages. Her work is varied- from queer joy to sheer outrage, she discerns magic in mundane language.
